Energy monitoring and control system

We design and build systems for monitoring and managing sources of electricity and electrical loads: hardware and software devices with functions that include Peripheral Monitoring Unit (UPM), battery controller, telecommunication, implementation algorithms and data processing for Aggregator ( or BSP Balancing Service Provider) in the Dispatching Services Market (MSD) and for energy communities.

These technologies are part of a scenario (Green new Deal) characterized in UE by the Clean Energy Package where a key role is played by Demand-Response technologies for balancing services required by energy operators (in Italy also prosumerrs equipped with UVAM (Mixed Aggregate Virtual Units) and aggregated in energy communities). In particular, small-sized renewables (DER, Distributed Energy Resources) will play a key role: solar (photovoltaic) energy will allow more and more consumers to become “prosumers” and, thanks to storage systems (batteries), “active prosumer”, or active elements of the system.

In this way changes also the classic supplier-consumer relationship and the exchange of information and cooperation become increasingly important: this is where Tera’s solutions are positioned.

Modular and custom solutions

BeetaTM MoCo: field controller, it reads the measurements provided by UVAM assets and executes the modulation orders, both towards the “batteries”, BESS (Battery Energy Management System), and towards modular loads; it can also perform the UPM (peripheral monitoring and control unit) function autonomously, connecting via modem-router to the “Concentrator” software; works in Retrofit on existing systems of different brands and models.

BeetaTM MoCo + Edge Computer (GIoE or BeetaTM Box + sensors and actuators from marketplace: electrical, environmental sensors, etc. ..): in this configuration the UPM functions can be delegated to the edge computer and can implement a complete smart asset management;

BeetaTM MoCo, with or without Edge Computer, + BeetaTM Reader, fiscal smart meter reader (also 2G); UVAM functionality and tax meter reading;

SW for interoperability with Concentrators and third-party application SW + UI both web-browser and mobile app (for ex. with algorithms calculatin energy energy consumption and production)
