The purpose of the intervention carried out bt Tera was to monitor – usin NBIoT network infrastructures (the IoT part that will be incorporated into 5G) – cracks in walls and pillars and their inclination, in order to determine the static conditions in real time of an unstable building.

Proposed action

For this project have been utilised sensors (strain gauge, inclinometers, temperature sensors, etc.) produced by an italian company and Smart Gteways/ Edge computers/ Hub designed and realized by Tera srl.



Tera Edge Computers/ Smart Gateway, GIoE and Beeta Box, act in the field: periodically they send data, through an embedded NBIoT module, on a third partyIoT portal/platform, generate alerts. Other variants are available, for example: generating on-site implementations, sending data on Tera’s ent-toend basic platform, using other communicatin protocols on the public network or LPWAN.
