Objective
Tera has participated in innovative project for advanced and innovative solutions of energy flows management for Smart City. The project, supported by numerous partners, deal with cities problems with an organic way, starting from energy infrastructures, analysing them with a smar perspective and training sector professionals, employees in Public Administration and citizens on the tested new technologies through blended learing systems.
Proposed action
Installation of Tera actuator sensors and gateway to monitor energy consumption and environmental parameters in public buildings in the Bari area. The Energy Box get data from sensors to control environmental conditions and energy and thermal consumption. BEMS allows the management and the monitoring of individual buildings.
Expected benefits
The Energy Boxhas been upgraded with Beeta Box edge computer to improve performance in term of number and type of manageable functions, installation flexibility, user interaction, type of protocol used, direct access to the Cloud.

Project SPS-IT (Smart Polyphenol manufacturing Supervisor) Sector Biochemistry Installation site Poly4Life – Terni Biotechnology Company Objective Elimination of production defects and reduction of the plant’s energy consumption. Proposed action Experimentation of an innovative supervision system in the production plant. Tera, as an Idea75 partner, collaborated in the definition and implementation of the 3 levels making up the SPS architecture: Field, Factory, Cloud. Tera contributed in particular to the Field level (consisting of sensors, actuators and gateway (SPS-gw) for the acquisition of data from the field ant the actuations management. Expected benefits SPS has allowed: a 20% reduction in quantity of product rejected for non-compliance; a 10% reduction in the lobal energy consumption of the production line; to improve the average quality of the finished product by 15%
Hydropack
Project Hydropack Sector Navigation Objective Innovative control solution for integrated hybrid propulsion systems, diesel/electric-hydraulic. Proposed action TERA has developed an innovative control unit solution, HPTC (Hydraulic Power Transmission Controller) for integrated hybrid , diesel/ electric-idraulic propulsion systems. The system is flexible, modulare and scalable and consists of: – an automotive level motherboard – user-friendly display system (GUI) based on “nautical” display with customized SW – a multi-parameter configuration software to customize the system based on engine power, the type of workload and the type of sensors The solution developed by Tera is composed by: – customization of configuration platform – possibility to manage the motor via a two-control joystick – management of propeller and electrical loads on board Tera technology can be applied to many different sectors as agrifood industry, roads, etc. Expected benefits The system tested on a mechanical propulsive solution of the AS. Labruna, operating in the marine sector, has demonstrated advantages in reducing the environmental impact, reducing the overall size, reducing exhaust gases, vibration and noise
SCA-Sistema per controllo atmosfera
Project SCA – Atmosphere control system for agro-food mobile logistics Sector Logistics Objective Improve the transport management of Apulian fruit and vegetables while maintaining the right conditions for the storage of goods during the journey. Proposed Action Creation of a controlled atmosphere transport system, remotely manageable with SW on the cloud, through the installation inside the isothermal vans of various devices (sensors, actuators, GPS, GPRS) connected to the GIoE control unit. Expected benefits Increased maximum transport time Longer travel distances Opening to new markets Increased product shelf-life Improved product quality Reduction of waste
